Job summary

Derby City Gaming & Hotel in Louisville, KY is seeking a Surveillance Technician to support the Surveillance Department. You will set up cameras, switches, servers and related hardware, install and troubleshoot approved software, and program devices to ensure accurate monitoring.

The role requires 1–2 years of Surveillance/IT experience or related degree, with the ability to obtain a Racing License. You will monitor video, assist investigations, and help maintain compliance with gaming

Responsibilities

• Set up new hardware: cameras, switches, servers, etc.
• Install and troubleshoot approved software and web applications.

• Provide quality problem resolution and demonstrate processes to the team.
• Educate users to reduce recurring issues with proactive solutions.
• Review cameras and recording decks to analyze video for reports.
• Maintain familiarity with gaming laws, regulations, and policies.
• Monitor assets and employees for procedural violations.
• Keep policies for all departments up to date.
• Store media from investigations and photographs securely.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.

Job Summary

The Surveillance Technician is responsible for providing support to the Surveillance Department of Derby City Gaming.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Sets up new hardware such as cameras, switches, servers, etc.
• Installs and troubleshoots company approved software and web applications
• Programming cameras, switches, servers, computers, etc.
• Provides quality problem resolution and process demonstration to the Surveillance Team.
• Educates users to reduce reoccurring issues by offering solutions to problems in a proactive way.
• Effectively and efficiently reviews all cameras as well as recording decks to analyze video and determine the validity of reports and/or investigative reviews.
• Maintains familiarity with gaming law, regulations, company policies and procedures.
• Diligently monitors all company assets as well as monitoring all employees for procedural violations.
• Maintains up-to-date working knowledge of procedures and policies for all departments.
• Maintains storage of media reviewed for investigative results and photographical purposes.
• Creates and maintains technical documentation.

Education And Experience

• One to Two years of experience as a Surveillance/ IT Technician or degree in related field or equivalent combination of work experience and education is preferred
• Ability to obtain a valid Racing License
