Job summary

Churchill Downs Incorporated is seeking a Game Technician to troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and monitor electronic gaming devices. You will identify, replace, and repair gaming components, bill validators, cash boxes, and printers, and participate in moving equipment.

The role requires knowledge of state gaming laws, strong communication, and ability to obtain a Racing License; high school diploma; two-year electronics degree or equivalent.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Two-year electronic degree or equivalent maintenance experience preferred.
  • Ability to obtain a valid Racing License.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain gaming equipment on the Gaming floor and shop.
  • Participate in installation, movement, and removal of gaming related equipment.
  • Maintain proper gaming logs to comply with state or internal regulations.
  • Assist operations team in minor tilt resolution such as paper fills and service lights.
  • Ensure the safety and security of all guests and employees.

JOB SUMMARY

The Game Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and monitoring the operation of assigned electronic gaming devices. Identify, replace and repair as needed gaming device components, bill validators, cashboxes and printers. Participates in movement of any Gaming related equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Repair and maintain Gaming related equipment on the Gaming floor and shop.
  • Participate in installation, movement, and removal of gaming related equipment.
  • Maintain proper gaming logs in order to comply with state or internal regulations.
  • Assist operations team in minor tilt resolution such a paper fills and answering service lights.
  • Ensure the safety and security of all guests and employees.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Maintaining a professional working relationship among all personnel.
  • Knowledge of state gaming laws and regulations.
  • Fundamental oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Oasis and applications.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Two-year Electronic Degree or equivalent experience in electrical maintenance preferred but not required.
  • Ability to obtain a valid Racing License.
