Job summary

Churchill Downs Incorporated in Louisville, KY is seeking an IT Technician to support Derby City Gaming's OS requirements and computing environment. The role requires hands-on hardware setup, software installation, and onsite user support across the gaming facility.

The IT Technician will work a schedule that includes weekends and night shifts, documenting procedures and maintaining server-based systems across departments to ensure reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Two to three years of experience as an IT Technician.
• Degree in related field or equivalent combination of work experience and education is preferred.
• Valid Racing License is required.

Responsibilities

• Sets up new hardware such as personal computers, printers, servers, phones, etc.
• Installs and troubleshoots company approved software and web applications
• Assists with programming copiers for scanning and emailing documents
• Provides quality customer service to our users through problem resolution and process demonstration.
• Educates users to reduce recurring issues by offering solutions to problems in a proactive way.
• Provides onsite support for the gaming facility, including weekend and night-shift work.
• Administers server-based systems across all departments.
• Creates and maintains technical documentation.

JOB SUMMARY

The IT Technician is responsible for providing support to Derby City Gaming for operating system requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Sets up new hardware such as personal computers, printers, servers, phones, etc.
• Installs and troubleshoots company approved software and web applications
• Assists with programming copiers for scanning and emailing documents
• Provides quality customer service to our users through problem resolution and process demonstration.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
