Job summary

Avi Resort and Casino in Laughlin, NV is seeking a Surveillance Operator to manage day-to-day operations and supervise assigned activities in the Surveillance department. You will ensure daily operations meet guest expectations and respond to escalations.

Requires two years of Casino Surveillance experience, solid CCTV system knowledge, a high school diploma, and ability to work unsupervised. Open to a full-time role with an exempt status.

  • Provide outstanding customer service to guests and team members; respond to escalations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Summary

Responsible for assisting with the day to day operation and direct supervision of assigned activities within the Surveillance department. Oversee overall department and/or shift(s) as assigned. Ensure daily operations and experiences meet guest expectations. Appropriately respond to and manage any escalated departmental concerns and guest and/or employee challenges.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Assist with training, developing, measuring performance, disciplining, and/or scheduling department staff, as assigned.
  • Ensures proper reports and logs are being compiled accurately by Surveillance Operators.
  • Demonstrate a positive, helpful attitude toward customers and fellow team members. Show a genuine enthusiasm for working in the hospitality/casino industry and/or working with the public.
  • Provide outstanding customer service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Qualifications
  • Must have two years of Casino Surveillance experience.
  • Must have working knowledge of all components of Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) system.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Ability to certify the completion of a job or task.
  • Ability to behave with integrity at all times.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with varying situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages. Must be able to work with positive and negative numbers
  • Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company

  • Required to sit for long periods of time.

Work Environment Potential Conditions

The work environment is characterized as an office setting, where computers and standard office equipment will be supplied and used as a part of the job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The immediate work environment is smoke free; however a smoking environment does exist in the building.
