PENN Entertainment’s Argosy Casino Alton is seeking a Surveillance Technician to oversee CCTV and video protection, ensuring game integrity and safety. The role involves monitoring casino operations, handling cash processes, and recording incidents, with cross‑functional duties to uphold standards.

The ideal candidate will have 21+ years of age, a high school diploma, basic math/computer skills, and 20/20 vision. On‑site work with physical demands and attention to detail required.

Qualifications

• - Minimum of 21 years of age.
• - High School Diploma or equivalent.
• - Ability to perform basic mathematical and computer functions.
• - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access, Word).
• - Knowledge of different table games.
• - Ability to observe and identify suspected cheaters and cheating techniques; must have 20/20 corrected vision.
• - Ability to effectively and efficiently move around all work areas.
• - Physical ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 25 lbs.; ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
• - These skills are typically acquired through a minimum of six months of on‑the‑job training or through closely related experience.

Responsibilities

• - Promote and maintain all steps of the Red Carpet Customer Service program with each patron and employee you come in contact with.
• - Provide video protection to maintain honesty within the cash handling and back of house areas; maintain gaming regulations and achieve voluntary compliance to company rules and policies.
• - Observe all casino operations via surveillance cameras; watch all cash counting in Soft Count, and all cash transactions in cages and on gaming layers in casino; video record any cheating infractions.
• - Review video on gaming in cases of player/dealer disputes.
• - Complete daily activity reports; note any pertinent facts (e.g., large cash outs, fills, credits) and/or incidents.
• - Monitor recording equipment.
• - Notify the appropriate person when infractions, cheating, etc., are observed (e.g., inform Pit Bosses of procedure infraction).
• - Answer the telephone during peak activity periods.
• - Other duties include removing trash, helping with upkeep of equipment, and cleaning work area.
• - May be required to perform duties outside the normal job description when necessary for efficiency, productivity, or improved guest service.
• - As a Technician, the Surveillance Operator repairs and cleans video recording equipment, maintains all cameras (PTZ and fixed), maintains CCTV equipment in the Surveillance Room, performs upgrades to the CCTV system as needed, and assists in ordering equipment and supplies.
