Job summary

APEX Investigation is seeking a Surveillance Operations Manager to lead day-to-day surveillance operations across California and nationwide. You will supervise investigators, coordinate client communications, and ensure operational readiness while supporting the Director of Surveillance and COO.

The role requires strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving abilities, plus willingness to travel 10–20% within California and to Sacramento as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in insurance investigations or surveillance operations.
• Leadership or management experience.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience coordinating multiple investigations simultaneously.
• Ability to travel and work from the Sacramento office Tuesday–Saturday.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day Surveillance Department operations.
• Act as Acting Director when necessary.
• Coordinate out-of-state investigators, vendors, and investigations.
• Ensure cases are investigation-ready before assignment.
• Run and verify DMV driver/licence searches and vehicle ownership data entries.
• Coordinate investigator schedules, coverage, and PTO.
• Monitor quality, timeliness, reports, video uploads, and compliance.
• Develop and improve departmental procedures, workflows, and AI-enabled processes.
