The Mohegan Tribe of Indians Of Connecticut is seeking a Full-Time Surveillance Officer in Uncasville, CT to monitor all gaming activities and protect the integrity of table games, race book, slots, and cashier operations.

You will learn surveillance equipment, maintain a flexible schedule, and demonstrate strong communication and analytical skills in a regulatory, fast-paced environment. Training is required within 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to operate surveillance equipment and observe video feeds.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must complete all required training courses within 90 days of employment.
  • No felony convictions or misdemeanors involving moral turpitude or integrity issues.

Responsibilities

  • Protect gaming integrity by monitoring activities across gaming areas.
  • Observe surveillance feeds and document findings for investigations.
  • Maintain knowledge of table games, slots, and count rooms.
  • Coordinate with Mohegan Tribal Gaming Commission and Police as needed.
  • Work a flexible schedule in a fast-paced regulatory environment.

Summary of Job Description:

Under the direction of the Surveillance Supervisor or designee, responsible for protecting the integrity and the monitoring of all gaming activities, including table games, race book, slots, hard and soft count rooms, and cashier operations at Mohegan Sun.

  • Ability to acquire working knowledge of surveillance equipment and its proper usage
  • Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time in a regulatory and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to observe, in detail, video in a camera monitor and/or on a computer screen for long periods
  • Ability to meet deadlines involving investigations and acquire working knowledge of the required documentation for the Mohegan Tribal Gaming Commission and/or the Mohegan Tribal Police Department
  • Ability to prioritize, remain calm, use good judgment, analyze situations, adapt to changing priorities and resolve issues during stressful situations
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal & external contacts
  • Ability to acquire working knowledge of all table games, slot, cashier and count room functions
  • Basic Microsoft Word, Excel, Data entry skills, and mathematical skills (Skill level determined by testing)
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, written, and telephone communication skills
  • Ability to acquire working knowledge of surveillance procedures and terminology
  • Ability to acquire successfully complete training in (2) table games schools
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Successful completion of all required training courses within ninety (90) days of employment
  • No felony convictions or misdemeanors involving moral turpitude or issues of integrity
  • A Surveillance Officer cannot have a Family Member (spouse, domestic partner, child, parent, brother, sister, grandparent, aunt, uncle, niece, nephew, first cousin, in-law or co-habitant) who works in: Gaming Commission, Table Games, Slot, Cashiering, Count Rooms, Race Book, Credit, Security, Accounting, or Marketing Departments of Mohegan Sun. The Director of Regulation may exempt any person from this additional requirement upon a showing of good cause and may limit or condition the terms of such exemption.
