Job summary

Maverick-Nv-LL is seeking a Surveillance Observer to monitor Wendover Nugget, Red Garter, Maverick Elko, and Gold Country properties. You will observe activities, operate PTZ cameras, review DVRs, and ensure compliance with Nevada gaming laws across all departments.

The role requires vigilance, integrity, and the ability to maintain daily logs, coordinate with hotel departments, and stay updated on policy and training standards.

Qualifications

• Be 21 years of age
• Ability to obtain and maintain State of Nevada Gaming Card
• Background in video or electronics desirable
• Honesty and Integrity
• Continuous on the job training
• Title 31 Training

Responsibilities

• Observe all activities at Wendover Nugget, Red Garter, Maverick Elko, and Gold Country.
• Cover all Code 1 and Code 3’s with the PTZ Cameras.
• Review DVRs when requested or violations are believed to have occurred.
• PTZ cameras on all bill validations in tray (security calls)
• Keep daily log.
• Communicate with Department Heads on Hotel Operations.
• Ensure equipment is in proper working order at all times.
• Maintain confidentiality of observation department business.
• Comply with company and department policies and procedures.
• Maintain strict confidence regarding company matters.
• Work on special projects as assigned by department manager.
• Maintain customer and business confidentiality.
• Title 31 training, re-training, and compliance.
• Safety awareness, constant training, & compliance.
• Performs related and/or other duties as required.

Surveillance Observer operates Wendover Nugget , Red Garter, Maverick Elko, and Gold Country surveillance equipment. Observing all departments where there is video and audio coverage. Ensure compliance with Nevada Gaming Laws, regulations and internal controls in all areas of casino operations and support services. Observe, locate, and film all irregularities which would jeopardize the assets of all properties. Monitor exit doors that have electronic arming devices.

• 1. Observe all activities at the Wendover Nugget , Red Garter, Maverick Elko, and Gold Country.


• 2. Cover all Code 1 and Code 3’s with the PTZ Cameras.


• 3. Review DVR’s when requested or violations are believed to have occurred.

Requirements

• Be 21 years of age Ability to obtain and maintain State of Nevada Gaming Card.


• Ability to learn 21, craps, and slots.


• Ability to learn all State Gaming rules and regulations.


• Background in video or electronics desirable.


• Desirable computer skills.


• Honesty and Integrity.


• Continuous on the job training.


• Title 31 Training.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This position works varied shifts, including weekend and holidays. Must be able to lift 20 pounds;
