Description

Summary: Under the supervision of surveillance investigators, the trainee utilizes equipment to identify, record, and report illegal, unusual, or suspicious activities, as well as policy or procedure violations in gaming, non-gaming, and back-of-the-house areas. Maintains knowledge of current property gaming operations, surveillance procedures, and company policies.

Essential Functions

1. Monitor guest and employee activities using CCTV systems.
2. Make tape changes.
3. Conduct player evaluations, audits, and close watches.
4. Perform weekly VCR checks.
5. Conduct quarterly dealer pace audits.
6. Test for Investigator Level 1 within six months of hire or as required.
7. Engage in self-education to expand job knowledge and demonstrate understanding through quizzes.
8. Ensure compliance with gaming laws, internal controls, policies, Title 31, and federal regulations.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: 1 year experience in law enforcement, security, or surveillance systems operations.
• Preferred: Previous gaming experience.
• Ability to solve problems with common sense and handle multiple variables.
• Ability to interpret and communicate instructions effectively.
• Strong communication skills for group and one-on-one settings.
• Basic computer skills and understanding.
• Proficiency in basic math operations.
