Job summary

UNT Health Fort Worth seeks a Property Clerk (Surplus) to receive, store, and issue surplus items from the campus and surplus warehouse. The role also manages the gas cylinder program and maintains accurate stock records.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED and at least three years of related experience. Proficiency with MS Excel and MS Outlook is expected; a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; three years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency with MS Excel and MS Outlook is preferred.
• Computer/Tech knowledge and inventory experience are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort all incoming surplus items and update asset records in the system.
• Determine disposition of surplus—repurpose, donate, sell, or discard—in compliance with state statutes.
• Document hard drives destruction with IT Helpdesk and ensure proper surplus processing.
• Assist in surplus sales by organizing lots, taking photos, and preparing paperwork for disposals.
• Coordinate with vendor for gas cylinders and LN2 gas tank filling; ensure papers route to correct building.
• Pickup and deliver small surplus items across campus.
