Job summary

Thrive Pet Healthcare Specialists is seeking a full-time Veterinary Technician to join the Surgery team in Scottsdale, AZ. You will provide perioperative care for surgical patients, assist with anesthesia monitoring, and support diagnostics throughout admission, recovery, and discharge.

Preferred candidates have 3+ years of direct patient care, current CVT/RVT/LVT credentials, and strong anesthesia and surgical skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician (direct patient care).
• CVT/RVT/LVT (active and current) strongly preferred.
• Superior/advanced technical & anesthesia skills.
• Experience in a Specialty Surgery setting strongly preferred.
• Has strong anesthesia skills (Able to monitor Blood pressure, ECG, SpO2, and EtCO2 and integrate clinical signs with disease processes to assist doctors).

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional perioperative care for surgical patients.
• Provide anesthesia monitoring, surgical assistance, and diagnostic testing.
• Support patient journey from admission through recovery and discharge.
• Collaborate with surgeons and veterinary team to ensure optimal outcomes.
