Job summary

Thrive Pet Healthcare Specialists in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a full-time Anesthesia Float Certified Veterinary Technician to support our Emergency & Specialty teams. You will prepare patients, administer anesthetic protocols, monitor complex cases, and assist doctors from admission through discharge.

The role requires CVT/RVT/LVT certification, at least 2 years of clinical experience, and strong anesthesia skills including monitoring with BP, ECG, SpO2, and ETCO2.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician (direct patient care)
• Active CVT/RVT/LVT certification required
• Experience with anesthetic cases ASA III-V in a clinic setting
• Strong anesthesia monitoring skills (BP, ECG, SpO2, ETCO2) and clinical decision making
• Positive attitude, self-motivation, and excellent communication/organization skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for procedures and administer anesthetic protocols
• Monitor anesthesia and patient recovery in emergency and specialty settings
• Collaborate with clinicians to ensure safe, compassionate care from admission to discharge
• Provide leadership and support to team members as needed
