Job summary

Thrive Pet Healthcare Specialists in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a full-time Certified Veterinary Technician to join our Surgery team. You will deliver perioperative care, monitor anesthesia, assist with surgery, and support patients from admission to discharge.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of clinical veterinary experience, current CVT/RVT/LVT certification, and strong anesthesia skills. Specialty surgery experience is preferred, with opportunities for career growth across Thrive’s

• Minimum 3 years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician
• CVT/RVT/LVT certification active and current required
• Superior/advanced anesthesia skills
• Experience in a Specialty Surgery setting strongly preferred
• Has strong anesthesia skills (BP, ECG, SpO2, EtCO2 monitoring) with clinical correlation

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative care and anesthesia monitoring for surgical patients
• Assist doctors in anesthesia, positioning, and surgical support
• Support patient journey from admission through recovery and discharge
• Maintain clear communication with team and clients

Thrive Pet Healthcare Specialists is looking for a full-time, experienced Certified Veterinary Technician to join our Surgery team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community in Scottsdale, AZ.

You’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by delivering exceptional perioperative care for our surgical patients. Your life-changing work will range from applying advanced technical skills in anesthesia monitoring, surgical assistance, and diagnostic testing, to supporting every stage of the patient journey from admission through recovery and discharge.

Your Experience & Skills

• Minimum 3 years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician (direct patient care)
• CVT/RVT/LVT (active and current) Required
• Superior/advanced technical & anesthesia skills
• Experience in a Specialty Surgery setting strongly preferred
• Has strong anesthesia skills (Able to obtain Blood pressure, ECG, Sp02, and ETC02 and integrate clinical signs with disease processes to assist doctors in early and appropriate intervention of patient care)
• Possesses a positive work attitude
• Self-motivated
• Excellent communication and organization skills
