Job summary

Thrive Pet Healthcare Specialists in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a full-time Veterinary Assistant to join our Surgery team. You will provide end-to-end care for patients, assist with outpatient treatments, and support admitting and discharging patients, working within a community of Thrive Pet Healthcare locations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Assistant (direct patient care).
• Has strong anesthesia skills (able to obtain Blood pressure, ECG, SpO2, and EtCO2 and integrate clinical signs with disease processes to assist doctors in early and appropriate intervention of patient care).
• Possesses a positive work attitude.
• Self-motivated.
• Excellent communication and organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end care for pets, including outpatient treatments and lab tests.
• Support admitting and discharging patients as part of the care team.
• Assist doctors with procedures and patient monitoring as needed.
