Job summary

Hospital for Veterinary Surgery - CT in Greenwich is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our growing clinical team. Rotating across support areas, you will care for surgical and hospitalized patients and support doctors and technicians.

Candidates should have 1–2+ years of Veterinary Assistant experience (GP/ER/specialty), familiarity with ezyVet, and a positive, team-oriented mindset. We offer strong PTO, 401(k), and benefit options.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years experience as Veterinary Assistant in GP/ER/specialty
• Experience with practice management software (ezyVet)
• Adaptability with a positive attitude toward clients and coworkers
• Sound judgment with ethical, independent work
• Dedication to excellent service for clients and patients

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to surgical and hospitalized patients
• Assist Doctor and Technicians for seamless client/patient experience
• Handle and restrain patients for exams and sample collection
• Submit patient samples to in-house and external labs
• Thorough cleaning, organization, and stocking of exam rooms and treatment area
