Job summary

The Hospital for Veterinary Surgery of Connecticut in Greenwich, CT is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our growing clinical team. You will rotate across multiple support areas, gaining technical confidence in a fast-paced, specialty environment at a state-of-the-art hospital built for learning and teamwork.

You will work with doctors and technicians to deliver compassionate care for surgical and hospitalized patients, with a focus on client and patient experience.

Qualifications

• 1-2+ years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant in GP, ER, or specialty.
• Experience with practice management software, (ezyVet is our in-house platform)
• Adaptability, positive attitude with clients and co-workers
• Sound judgment, ethical independence and responsibility
• Dedication to excellent service for clients and patients, respect for coworkers
• Flexibility, curiosity, and desire to help build something new

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to surgical and hospitalized patients
• Assist Doctor and Technicians in providing a seamless client and patient experience
• Handle and restrain patients for exams and sample collection
• Submit patient samples to in-house and external laboratory
• Thorough cleaning, organization, and stocking of exam rooms and treatment areas
