Job summary

UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill seeks a Clinical Support Technician II to assist the professional caregiver in delivering patient care, transport patients and equipment, and perform a wide range of clerical tasks.

The role requires Nursing Assistant licensure in NC, a high school diploma or GED, and BLS certification. It is a full-time, 36-hour-per-week position with rotating 12-hour shifts, onsite. Salary ranges hourly with benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• NC DHHS Nursing Assistant I & II licensure; BLS certification.
• 1 year clerical or customer service experience; 3 months nursing assistant experience.
• Must be fluent in English and capable of developing basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and health care providers with routine examinations and procurement of equipment and supplies.
• Review patient care documentation and report significant changes to a registered nurse or physician.
• Perform clerical tasks: organize workload, greet visitors, review and transcribe orders, maintain medical records.
• Provide administrative and clerical support including PI audits and data entry.
• Provide clinical support: cleaning work areas, maintaining equipment, stocking supplies, transporting patients and specimens.
• Provide direct personal care per plan of care: bathing, dressing, feeding, ambulation; measure vitals and record data.
