Job summary

Pima Medical Institute in Denver on-site is seeking a Surgical Technology Clinical Director to oversee both clinical and classroom components of the Surgical Technology program. You will manage clinical sites, coordinate rotations, and deliver classroom instruction to prepare future technologists for healthcare careers.

The role combines leadership and teaching, requires CST certification, and offers a comprehensive benefits package. This is a full-time, on-site position with a sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from a CAAHEP- or ABHES-accredited surgical technology program recognized. A Baccalaureate degree is preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of operating room experience in the scrub role within the last five (5) years OR three (3) years of teaching in surgical technology.
• Active Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential.
• Current license/registration/certification as required by local, state, or federal laws.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical site partnerships and secure agreements with local hospitals and centers.
• Coordinate student placements, orientations, and rotation schedules.
• Visit clinical sites to review student performance and ensure effective education.
• Monitor competency evaluations, skill logs, and student records.
• Develop and align clinical education plans; advise the Program Director on curriculum updates.
• Deliver lectures and conduct lab demonstrations in surgical technology.
