Job summary

Pima Medical Institute in Denver is seeking a Surgical Technology Clinical Director to oversee both the clinical and classroom components of its Surgical Technology program. You will manage clinical site partnerships, coordinate student rotations, and deliver classroom and lab instruction to prepare future surgical technologists for successful careers.

This dual-leadership role emphasizes program development, student success, and adherence to accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from a CAAHEP- or ABHES-accredited surgical technology program; a Baccalaureate degree is preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of OR scrub experience within last five years or three (3) years of teaching in surgical technology.
• Active CST credential from NCCA-accredited program.
• Current licensure/registration as required by local/state/federal laws.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and standard computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical site partnerships and secure new agreements.
• Manage student rotations and conduct site orientations for clinical departments.
• Visit clinical sites regularly to review student performance and collaborate with instructors.
• Monitor competency evaluations, skill logs, and student records for program requirements.
• Develop and revise the clinical education plan and align curriculum as needed.
• Teach and demonstrate surgical technology methods in classrooms and labs.
• Support student success, striving to maintain high class retention and performance rates.
• Assist the Program Director with admissions and overall program duties.
