Qualifications

• Requires a credential in Surgical Technology from a national credentialing organization accredited by NBSTA.
• Requires minimum three years OR teaching experience within five years prior to hire date.
• CST certification and AS in ST are required.

Responsibilities

• Teaches and implements curriculum objectives as assigned by the Director of Surgical Technology.
• Prepares, administers, grades, and records exams throughout the course.
• Discusses student concerns related to learning and progress.
• Plans and assigns classroom/clinical activities to meet program objectives.
• Maintains records of student progress, attendance, and grades.
• Provides professional role modeling for students.
• Assists in selection and preparation of instructional materials.
• Develops and implements written lesson plans; shares them with the Director of Surgical Technology.
• Identifies learning needs of students considering health care professional values.
