Job summary

Los Rios Community College District is seeking qualified adjunct faculty for a part-time, temporary teaching role in Surgical Technology across multiple campuses. The instructor will teach assigned courses under the area dean, assess outcomes, and contribute to curriculum development and articulation across ARC, CRC, FLC and SCC campuses.

Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree or higher with related professional experience, or an associate degree with substantial experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher with 2+ years related experience; or an associate degree with 6+ years related experience.
Experience directly related to the faculty member’s teaching assignment.
Commitment to equity-minded, inclusive education and diverse student populations.

Responsibilities

Teach assigned classes under supervision of the area dean.
Assess student learning outcomes and maintain up-to-date subject knowledge.
Utilize current technology in teaching and participate in curriculum development.
Assist with articulation and curriculum review across campuses.
Serve on committees and participate in faculty governance and accreditation activities.
Fulfill other duties as assigned by the area dean.
