Job summary

Faculty will prepare outlines, lectures, and assessments aligned with course objectives, maintain grade records, and participate in program development while upholding college policies and equity

Qualifications

• Must meet one of the following qualifications: a) bachelor’s degree or higher with 2 years of professional experience; b) associate degree with 6 years of professional experience; c) combination deemed equivalent to (a) or (b).
• Professional experience is required when the applicant has a master’s degree and must relate to the teaching assignment.
• Commitment to equity and diversity and understanding of diverse student backgrounds required.

Responsibilities

• Teach classes in accordance with curriculum and course outlines; prepare outlines, materials, and lectures to support learning objectives.
• Report assessment data on student learning outcomes and unit outcomes.
• Use outcomes data to improve teaching and learning.
• Maintain professional conduct and ethics; stay current in subject matter.
• Follow college and district policies and procedures; meet reporting deadlines.
• Utilize current technology and materials to support instruction; deliver distance education as needed.
• Maintain regular contact with students in distance education courses; teach at scheduled times and locations.
• Maintain accurate workload and records; participate in curriculum review and program development.
