Job summary

The Los Rios Community College District is seeking qualified candidates for a part-time adjunct faculty position. The incumbent will teach assigned classes under the area dean's supervision and assist students in mastering course content while maintaining current knowledge in their field.

Responsibilities include assessing learning outcomes, engaging in professional development, using current technology, and participating in articulation, curriculum development, and college governance

Qualifications

• Have any bachelor's degree or higher and two years of professional experience; OR any associate degree and six years of professional experience; OR the equivalent.
• The professional experience required must be directly related to the faculty member's teaching assignment. All degrees must be from an accredited institution completed by time of hire.
• Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned classes under supervision of the area dean.
• Help students fulfill their maximum potential in mastering course content.
• Assess student learning outcomes.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge in their regular teaching field.
• Continue professional development and use current technology in duties.
• Maintain standards of professional conduct and ethics.
• Assist with articulation and curriculum development and review.
• Serve on college committees and participate in faculty governance including accreditation and student co-curricular activities.
• Fulfill other duties and responsibilities of an adjunct faculty member.
