Job summary

The Technical College of the Lowcountry invites applications for a Surgical Technology educator role. The college emphasizes equal opportunity and serves Beaufort, Colleton, Hampton and Jasper counties in South Carolina.

Responsibilities include teaching clinical rotations, evaluating student progress, maintaining attendance records, and representing the college in professional and community settings. A Diploma in Surgical Technology with NSC certification is required, and 2+ years of CST

• Minimum of two years’ experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist preferred.

Instructional Development

• Develop clinical rotation schedules
• Complete clinical evaluations per student for each clinical rotation. Written evaluation to be based on evaluating student from start to finish of a surgical procedure performed at a clinical site.
• Input case information onto case summary spread sheet
• Review all clinical documentation each week and provide student feedback in a timely manner.

Professional Development

• Attend relevant professional meetings
• Represent the College positively in interactions with the community and with professional and academic groups at local,state, and national levels.

Diploma in Surgical Technology. National Surgical Technology Certification required.

Minimum of two years’ experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist preferred.
