Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
• Certification through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons under supervision to ensure safe, efficient procedures and patient safety.
• Maintain sterile field and prepare OR rooms, supplies and equipment.
• Verify implants and ensure proper sterilization of instruments and packaging.
• Assist with patient positioning, draping and initial instrument counts.
• Support medication handling on the surgical field and specimen handling.
• Help with cleaning, decontamination and terminal sterilization between cases.
