Job summary

Langhorne Surgery Center is seeking a Surgical Technologist (Scrub Tech) to support ophthalmology procedures and pain management. The role involves preparing the operating room, maintaining a sterile environment, and assisting the surgical team throughout procedures.

The position offers a Monday-Friday schedule, with no weekends or holidays, and pay at $35/hour. Join a collaborative team dedicated to patient safety and high-quality outcomes in a busy outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS certification.
• At least 1 year of healthcare experience.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies for procedures.
• Maintain the sterile field and follow infection prevention protocols.
• Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons and assist the surgical team as needed.
• Prepare and position patients for surgery.
• Perform instrument and sponge counts before and after procedures.
• Clean, sterilize, and restock equipment and operating rooms between cases.
• Monitor surgical equipment and ensure supplies are available.
• Maintain accurate procedure documentation and communicate patient-related information to the nursing team.
• Follow facility policies, safety standards, and required training guidelines.
