Job summary

Hyde Park Surgery Center in Austin, TX is hiring a Surgical Technologist/Scrub Tech. The role supports a 3-OR outpatient center performing ENT, Orthopedic, Pain Management, and Spine procedures. Weekdays only with potential early mornings or late evenings; no holidays or weekends required.

The incumbent scrubs, maintains sterility, preps supplies, and collaborates with physicians and staff while supporting quality improvements and center objectives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent education/experience.
• Certification as required by state and/or center.
• Ambulatory surgical center experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient management.
• Understand aseptic techniques and apply them.
• Adapt quickly to changes in patient condition.
• Excel in teamwork and communicate effectively with staff and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence as part of the team.
• Maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures.
• Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment for procedures.
• Supports the Surgery Center's philosophy, objectives, and goals.
• Participates in quality improvement activities.
