The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for Radiation/Oncology to support elective procedures. This 30-hour position features three 10-hour shifts, no weekends, and eligibility for a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

Under supervision, you will assist in operations, set up the OR, pass instruments, and maintain sterile technique while preparing patients and equipment for surgery.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Experience as a surgical technologist in an acute care setting 2-3 years preferred and four (4) years experience as a surgical technologist in an acute care setting.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) NBSTSA preferred.

Responsabilités

• Set up the operating room and prepare patients for surgery.
• Transport patients and adjust lights and equipment as needed.
• Pass instruments to surgeons and assistants; hold retractors and cut sutures.
• Count sponges, needles, and instruments to maintain accuracy.
• Monitor operating room conditions and ensure sterility throughout procedures.

Job Summary

Certified Surgical Technologist Radiation/Oncology 30 hour 3 10 hour shifts no weekends, call or holidays Eligible for 10k Sign On Bonus! Under supervision, assists in operations.

Responsibilities

May help set up the operating room, prepare and transport patients for surgery, adjust lights and equipment, pass instruments and other supplies to surgeons and surgeons' assistants, hold retractors, cut sutures, and help count sponges, needles, supplies, and instruments.

• -Attainment of extra supplies and equipment as needed.
• -Sets up equipment independently.
• -Monitor and continually assess operating room conditions, including patient and surgical team needs.
• -Prepare patients for surgery, including positioning patients on the operating table and covering them with sterile surgical drapes to prevent exposure.
• -Knowledge of SPD Sterile Room.

Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• - Knowledge of SPD Sterile Room.
• - Ability to multitask, can work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• - Advanced knowledge of sterile processing procedures and policies.
• - Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent required

Licenses and Credentials

Certified Surgical Technologist [CST] National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) preferred

Experience

Experience as a surgical technologist in an acute care setting 2-3 years preferred and Four (4) years experience as a surgical technologist in an acute care setting.
