Job summary

Mass General Brigham seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for the Radiation/Oncology team. This role is 30 hours per week on 10-hour shifts, with no weekends, call, or holidays. Eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

Under supervision, you will assist in operations, prepare the OR, transport patients, and pass instruments to surgeons. Primary duties include setting up equipment, monitoring OR conditions, preparing patients, and knowledge of SPD sterile room procedures to support a fast-paced

Job Summary

Certified Surgical Technologist
Radiation/Oncology
30 hour 3 10 hour shifts
no weekends, call or holidays

Under supervision, assists in operations. May help set up the operating room, prepare and transport patients for surgery, adjust lights and equipment, pass instruments and other supplies to surgeons and surgeons' assistants, hold retractors, cut sutures, and help count sponges, needles, supplies, and instruments.

• Attainment of extra supplies and equipment as needed.
• Sets up equipment independently.
• Monitor and continually assess operating room conditions, including patient and surgical team needs.
• Prepare patients for surgery, including positioning patients on the operating table and covering them with sterile surgical drapes to prevent exposure.
• Knowledge of SPD Sterile Room.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent required

Licenses and Credentials

• Certified Surgical Technologist [CST]
• National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) preferred

Experience

Experience as a surgical technologist in an acute care setting 2-3 years preferred and Four (4) years experience as a surgical technologist in an acute care setting.
