Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technologist (PRN) to join a team of caregivers delivering patient‑centered care in a fast‑paced operative setting. The position involves working varied day/evening/night/weekend shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

or 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., with on‑call requirements. Primary responsibilities include preparing sterile setups, assisting surgeons, maintaining aseptic technique, and ensuring proper equipment counts.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Surgical Technology program accredited through CAAHEP or ABHES.
• OR completion of a military surgical technology program.
• Certification as Surgical Technologist (CST or TS-C) acceptable route.
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality, individualized patient care in perioperative, intraoperative and postoperative phases.
• Follow perioperative guidelines established by AORN.
• Assemble, check and open sterile packs and instruments.
• Maintain aseptic technique and safety in the department.
• Ensure proper counts and documentation for surgical supplies and equipment.
• Assist surgeons and staff with retraction and suction as directed.
