Job summary

Optum is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join The Corvallis Clinic team in Corvallis, OR. The role supports safe and efficient surgical procedures by preparing equipment, maintaining sterile fields, and assisting surgeons and anesthesia staff.

Responsibilities include patient pre-op assessment, post-procedure care coordination, staff training, and ensuring adherence to sterile technique and safety standards in a fast-paced OR environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to complete BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in pre-op patient assessment and maintain patient safety.
• Prepare and organize sterile supplies and instruments.
• Maintain sterile technique and asepsis throughout procedures.
• Communicate patient conditions with surgeons, anesthesia, and staff.
• Support anesthesia staff as needed.
• Orient and train new employees.
