Job summary

Rush University Medical Center is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the Surgical Services team in Illinois. The role involves assisting the surgeon, anesthesiologist and RN throughout the entire preoperative experience and serving as the primary scrub person during operations.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of a program of surgical technology of at least one year duration.
• Certifications: Certification by the Association of Surgical Technologists (AST), National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA), or similar certifying body required.
• BLS required
• Special Skills: Able to function in emergency situations; ability to take call (30-minute response time) required.
