Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist.
• Two years previous experience as an operating room technician desired.
• Current BCLS.

Responsibilities

• Decision making concerning equipment and/or instrumentation sterilization.
• Bio hazardous waste disposal.
• Patient care and patient flow.
• Maintains patient confidentiality.
• Assists surgeon in scrubbed cases.
• Checks room for cleanliness and supplies at start of day.
• Maintains sterile technique during gowning and gloving.
