Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Surgical Tech for our Aurora Health Care locations. The role involves maintaining a clean, safe operating area, preparing materials aseptically, and assisting surgeons during procedures.

No prior experience is required, and BLS certification should be obtained within 6 months if not already held. Applicants should have completed an accredited Surgical Technology program and possess strong customer service and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in Surgical Technology.
• No experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 6 months is required unless exempted by leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provides for a clean, safe and efficient area conducive to optimal patient care.
• Assists in aseptic preparation and passing of instruments and supplies for procedures.
• Maintains a sterile field and supports surgeons as needed.
• Transports patients and equipment as required.
• Ensures equipment and supplies are complete and functioning prior to use.
