Job summary

ScionHealth's Ennis Regional Medical Center in Ennis, TX, seeks a Surgical Technician to support the surgical team. Responsibilities include preparing the OR, maintaining sterile technique, and assisting during procedures to promote patient safety across all ages.

The role requires knowledge of instruments and sterile technique, strong attention to detail, and teamwork within a fast-paced perioperative environment. BLS is required; CST preferred or eligible for certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Accredited Surgical Technology or OR Technician program preferred.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating room and ensure sterility.
• Transport, position, and drape patients for procedures.
• Maintain aseptic technique and sterile field.
• Pass instruments and supplies to surgical team.
• Assist with room turnover and post-procedure cleanup.
• Sterilize and prepare instruments per protocol.
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and policies.
• Participate in ongoing education and competency validation.
