Lifepoint Health® seeks a Surgical Support role to assist in the preparation and execution of surgical procedures. The position involves preparing the operating room, transporting and positioning patients, and handing instruments to the surgeon during operations.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with at least 6 months of on-the-job experience from another facility. This is a non-exempt, on-site position within a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS).

Responsabilités

• Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies.
• Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments.
• Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
• Passes instruments to physician during surgery and tracks instruments and supplies.
