Job summary

Live Well Homecare is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support surgeons during procedures and maintain sterile techniques in a clinical setting. The role emphasizes patient safety and adherence to sterile practices.

Responsibilities include instrument setup, aseptic verification, documentation of specimens, and participation in safety protocols and on-call rotations. Preceptor duties for students may be involved, with duties extending to patient transport as needed.

Qualifications

• Current CST certification or eligibility per state law.
• Completion of a specialty training program.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up instruments, gowns, and drapes for procedures.
• Maintain aseptic technique and verify surgical site before incision.
• Document supplies and specimens accurately.
• Assist with wound care, dressing changes, and specimen handling.
• Participate in safety protocols and on-call rotations.
• Act as a preceptor for students and follow hospital policies.
• Assist with patient transport and post-mortem care as required.
