Job summary

MaineGeneral Medical Center in Waterville, ME, is hiring a Surgical Technologist to join our operating room team. New graduates are encouraged to apply and you will work with skilled surgeons in modern ORs equipped with advanced technology.

Responsibilities include preparing the operating suite, assisting with patient positioning, passing instruments, and handling specimens. BLS must be completed within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited post-secondary Surgical Technology program.
  • New Graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Certification: CST preferred by NBSTSA.

  • Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
  • Pass instruments to the physician during surgery and continually account for instruments and supplies.

Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments.Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients.Passes instruments to the physician during surgery. Continually accounts for the number and location of instruments and supplies during surgery.Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory.What You Bring:Education: Completion of an accredited post-secondary Surgical Technology program.
