Job summary

MaineHealth – Waldo Hospital is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to join a collaborative team in coastal Maine. The Lead role requires expertise in the scrub position and provides clinical support to teammates, ensuring all procedural elements are in place for successful surgeries.

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program, hold NBSTSA certification, and have at least 2 years of experience.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology is required.
  • Current certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) is required; BLS certification is required or must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
  • Minimum of 2 years as a Surgical Technologist required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Surgical Technologist demonstrations of proficiency in the scrub role and serves as a clinical resource for the team.
  • Ensures all elements are in place for surgical procedures and supports staff during cases.

The Lead Surgical Technologist role demonstrates proficiency in the scrub role and serves as a clinical resource to other staff to ensure all the necessary elements are in place for surgical procedures.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology required.
  • License/Certifications: Current certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting required. Current BLS Certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a Surgical Technologist required.

The pay range for this position is $29.45to $39.84 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).

In addition to base pay, MaineHealth offerscomprehensivebenefits, recognition programs, career growth opportunities, and,where applicable,shiftdifferentials or other incentives.
