Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to provide technical services under supervision of a Registered Nurse and Physician in Albany, Georgia.

The CST will assist with surgical procedures, maintain the sterile field, and ensure instrument readiness for ortho, neuro, and other procedures. The role requires completing a Vocational/Technical Surgical Technology program and may prefer 1 year of orthopedic/neurological experience, with applicable

Vocational/Technical Degree in Accredited Surgical Technology Program Required
Work Experience => 1 years Ortho Neuro Experience Preferred
Licenses and Certifications Accredited Surgical Technologist Program Preferred

Responsibilities

The CST will prepare and assist with surgical procedures in collaboration with Registered Nurse.
Pull cases according to doctor preference cards.
Maintain and prepare sterile field.
Anticipate needs of surgeon.
Assist surgeon by passing instruments, sutures, etc.
Develops an individualized plan with strategies that address diagnoses.
Implements the plan in a safe and timely manner.
Documents implementation and includes changes or omissions of the identified plan.
