Job summary

Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, Inc. in Albany, GA seeks a Certified Surgical Tech (CST) to support the operating room team.

You will prepare instruments, maintain sterile fields, and assist surgeons during procedures in collaboration with RNs and physicians. The role requires a vocational/technical degree in surgical technology; 1+ year Ortho/Neuro experience is preferred and accreditation as a CST is valued.

Qualifications

• Vocational/Technical Degree in Accredited Surgical Technology Program is required.
• 1+ years Ortho/Neuro experience preferred.
• Accredited Surgical Technologist Program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist with surgical procedures in collaboration with Registered Nurse.
• Pull cases according to doctor preference cards.
• Maintain and prepare sterile field and knowledge of surgical procedures.
• Anticipate needs of the surgeon and pass instruments, sutures, etc.
• Provide input to Team Leader for performance appraisals of team members.
• Develop and implement plans to support team and patient care.
