Job summary

Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, Inc. in Albany, GA, seeks a Surgical Technologist to provide technical services under supervision in the operating room. You will assist in procedures and may work in Central Sterile Processing as assigned.

Qualifications include a Vocational/Technical Degree in an Accredited Surgical Technology Program, CST certification and BLS. Zero to one year of CST experience is preferred; perform duties to maintain sterile field and support the surgical team.

Qualifications

• Work Experience 0 - 1 year Surgical technologist experience ; (Preferred)
• Certifications/Licensures: CST, Basic Life Support (BLS)

Responsibilities

• The CST will prepare and assist with surgical procedures in collaboration with Registered Nurse.
• Pull cases according to doctor preference cards.
• Maintain and prepare sterile field.
• Maintain knowledge of surgical procedures.
• Anticipate needs of surgeon.
• Assist surgeon by passing instruments, sutures, etc.
