• Scrubs in and dons sterile gown and gloves.
• Gowns and gloves the surgeon and assistants.
• Performs sponge, needle, and instrument counts.
• Assist in positioning, skin preparation and draping of patient.
• Passes instruments to the surgeon during surgery.
• Maintain sterile technique throughout the procedure.
• Assist with postoperative dressings and transfers.
