The opportunity involves assisting in surgical operations under supervision, maintaining sterile technique, and supporting the team to optimize case turnover and efficiency. Requires certification and BLS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Surgical Technologist Program required.
• Five years of related experience in the field of surgical technology.

Responsibilities

• Check supplies and equipment for the surgical procedure.
• Scrub in and don sterile gown and gloves.
• Gown and glove the surgeon and assistants.
• Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts.
• Assist in positioning, skin prep and draping of patient.
• Pass instruments to the surgeon as needed.
• Maintain sterile technique throughout procedures.
• Assist with postoperative dressings.
