Job summary

Phoebe Putney Health System is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room under supervision of a Registered Nurse and Physician. The role may involve Central Sterile Processing duties and requires maintaining a sterile field and assisting with surgical procedures.

Mandatory CST certification and BLS, plus a vocational/technical degree in Surgical Technology, are required. Relevant experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• CST certification and BLS required.
• Vocational/Technical degree in surgical technology required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist with surgical procedures in collaboration with Registered Nurse.
• Pull cases according to doctor preference cards.
• Maintain and prepare sterile field.
• Anticipate needs of surgeon and assist by passing instruments, sutures, etc.
