Job summary

Twin Cities Orthopedics in Eagan, MN is seeking a Surgical Technologist to provide technical expertise and patient care in the operating room, supporting a high-quality surgical team. This full-time, on-site role offers shifts within OR hours, Monday–Friday 5:30 AM – 5:00 PM, with potential 8- or 10-hour shifts at the Eagan location.

The position requires NBSTSA certification, 1 year of OR experience, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an ARC/STSA or CAAHEP accredited surgical technology program.
• Equivalent military education also acceptable.
• Surgical Technologist Certification through NBSTSA.
• One year of Operating Room experience in the last 3 years.
• Current member of the ST preferred.
• Current BLS certification or completed upon request.

Responsibilities

• Assists with obtaining equipment and supplies for procedures and prepares the surgical suite.
• Prepares sterile instrument tables and checks cleanliness and function of instruments.
• Ensures complete instrument sets are available prior to incision.
• Maintains aseptic environment throughout the intraoperative period.
• Assists surgeon and team with all phases of the surgical procedure.
• Applies knowledge of procedures to anticipate needs during the intraoperative phase.
• Labels medications per departmental policies.
