Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited school of surgical technology or equivalent training.
• 1–3 years of surgical experience in at least two specialty areas preferred.
• BL S certification through an accredited program; Certified Surgical Technician preferred.
• Good written and verbal communication; ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical operations under supervision of surgeons and OR staff.
• Scrub duties using aseptic technique and prepare medications for intraoperative use.
• Prepare and operate equipment, set up sterile fields for adolescent to geriatric patients.
• Maintain preference cards, ensure proper instrument handling, and report equipment issues.
• Demonstrate commitment to patient safety and confidentiality; uphold hospital policies.
