Job summary

Renown Health in Reno, NV is seeking a Surgical Technologist Specialty Rep to support the OR with service line leadership and surgeon preference card coordination. The role includes maintaining aseptic technique, circulating with providers, and ensuring proper equipment and supplies for each case.

The incumbent will collaborate with OR staff, educators, and management to optimize patient care, update procedures, and manage inventory.

Qualifications

• English reading, writing, speaking sufficient to perform duties safely and effectively.
• Minimum one year as an OR Technician.
• Current BLS certification by the American Heart Association standards required.
• Surgical Technologist certification preferred.
• Ability to perform as a first assist if qualified and continuing education is completed annually.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams and Word.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterility of the surgical field and anticipate surgeons' needs.
• Pass instruments and assist with procedures in a timely fashion.
• Care for instrumentation and equipment before/after procedures.
• Coordinate staff assignments for the service specialty and update surgeon preference cards.
• Generate monthly/quarterly reports on supply usage and costs.
