Job summary

Penn Medicine in the United States is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team. You will provide patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse and perform scrub and instrument handling duties to ensure efficient, safe surgeries.

Required is a high school diploma or GED and graduation from a surgical technician program, plus Basic Life Support and certification as a Surgical Technologist.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of a surgical technician program.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Performs duties that support the operation of the nursing unit.
• Demonstrates competency to perform the scrub role in assigned surgical procedures.
• Relates the needs of the surgical team to the RN (circulating nurse).
