Job summary

ProHealth Care in Wisconsin is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support surgeons in the operating room. The role involves acting as the scrub, maintaining a sterile field, and assisting during invasive procedures under the supervision of an RN or physician.

The ideal candidate has CST or equivalent training, at least two years of OR experience, and BLS certification. Orthopedics or neurosurgery exposure is a plus, with a preference for AST membership.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Surgical Technologist program; CST preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a surgical technologist in the OR.
• AST membership preferred.
• BLS from the American Heart Association or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Experience in Orthopedics and Neurosurgery preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the scrub person and work under the supervision of an RN or physician to facilitate safe care during invasive and operative procedures.
• Ensure the OR is safe and equipment is functioning properly during procedures.
• Facilitate the physician's performance of invasive, therapeutic, and diagnostic procedures.
